Summer is coming to an end.


As summer vacations come to an end, the market has continued to move upwards a bit in average sales price, price per sq/ft, fewer days on market, and more competition with a higher sales:list price ratio.

Our data is based on averages for Single-family homes sold in San Mateo County over the last 90 days (May-July 2023). This data was gathered on August 2, 2023.

The San Mateo County Real Estate Market Proves Resilient!

According to a recent article in Palo Alto OnlineSan Mateo only Bay Area county to see increased sales activity compared to 2022. The article notes that “San Mateo was the only county in the region whose sales increased both year-over-year (3.4%) and month-over-month (14.8%).” Comparatively, the California Association of REALTORS (CAR) notes “sales of single-family homes in the state during June were down 4.1% on a monthly basis compared to May and down 19.7% compared to the same time last year.”

For example, August 2023 data is based on averages from May - July 2023 and July 2023 data is based on averages from April - June 2023. This data was gathered on August 2, 2023.
