Winter Market is coming!

As we approach the end of the year, the market is shifting into winter mode, which is typical seasonality for the Bay Area real estate market. How does October compare to September? We saw a slowing in market activity, in terms of how many new properties entered the market and sold, but we saw increases in other areas.

There were 1.32% fewer sales compared to September. In October, we saw 356 new listings in October and 300 closed sales. What's interesting is homes sold faster, selling on average in 22 days in October compared to 24 days in September. Median Sales prices too were 5.9% higher in October at $1.94M.

Our data is based on averages for Single-family homes in San Mateo County over the last 90 days (Aug-Oct 2023). This data was gathered on November 20, 2023.
